This study compared the overall size and growth trends of the Canadian and U.S. wine industries, identified key issues and threats facing each, and examined some of the industry's largest wine brands and their brand promotion strategies. The study also compared wine distribution systems between Canada and the U.S. and assessed the impacts of the Spirits market on consumer wine demand in each country.


Consumer Goods
Canadian and the United Kingdom Market Viability Study for Czech Hand Tool and Gardening Products
Phase One of this study involved assessing the Canadian and UK markets for opportunities to test market our Czech client's top sellers in the hand tool and gardening product categories. This included market research and analysis of Canadian and UK hand tool and gardening products markets to identify the best market opportunity areas for our client, examination of the competitive climate in Canada and the UK, and the subsequent development of a marketing strategy and a sales plan into these markets.
Phase Two of this study focused on strategic partnership development for our client. We identified qualified and suitable Canadian and UK buyers and made initial product introductions to them on our client's behalf. We also facilitated buyer requests for product samples, supervised timely deliveries, and organized country visits between our client and export buyers.


Construction
Strategic Market Analysis for Expansion Into New North American Markets for Canadian Supplier of Intelligent Construction Monitoring Technologies
This collaborative study, conducted jointly with one of our Associate consulting firms, focused on examining the North American market for intelligent monitoring systems in buildings for market expansion opportunities. The project involved the analysis and profiles of three strategic market segments of interest in Canada and the US. The results of the market research were then used to derive a detailed marketing strategy and forward action plan to maximize sales opportunities for the client’s products and services through expansions into new markets in North America.
Czech Republic Market Viability Study for U.S. Tubular Skylights
This study involved assessing the Czech residential and commercial construction market’s potential for U.S. tubular skylight products. The objectives of the study were to examine the Czech residential and commercial construction market for potential demand for skylights, and to assist the client in setting up a viable distribution channel system through local building supplies distributors and contractors that would be able to supply the skylights throughout the Czech market.


Financial Services
Offshore Financial Center (OFC) Country Competitive Analysis – Caribbean Region
This research study examined the foreign investment appeal and image of select countries within the Caribbean Region. It included the identification of top offshore financial services of interest to foreign investors, OFC investment selection criteria, as well as select countries' key investment appeal strengths and weaknesses. Our research findings helped to provide our client with a detailed summary of the areas of potential inward foreign investment opportunities for the Caribbean OFCs to attract new foreign investors to the Region.


Food Packaging
US Protein Packaging Market Viability Study
The study involved a comprehensive examination of the role of corrugated box packaging throughout the distribution channels of different types of meat (beef, pork, poultry, game, fish, seafood, etc.) in the U.S. We further examined the primary packaging alternatives for these so-called protein products, provided a thorough assessment of the protein packaging industry's competitive climate, and identified the most attractive new business opportunity areas for our client's corrugated box packaging products.


Food Processing
Strategic Market Analysis and Plan for Expansion Into Canadian Market for Czech Manufacturer of Processed Fruit and Vegetable Products
This project involved a thorough analysis and profile of the Canadian market for processed fruit and vegetable products for new import opportunities for our client.
Our research included identifying key market drivers for these types of food products, mapping out the Canadian supply chain structure for processed foods, identifying relevant regulatory requirements for importers of processed foods, profiling main competitors, and identifying highest-potential market opportunities for our client.
Based on our research findings, we developed a detailed marketing strategy and action plan for our client to maximize their sales opportunities through exports into the Canadian market. As part of our assistance in the implementation of the action plan, we helped our client find and secure an introductory order of a container of their products with a large Western Canadian food distributor.

World Market Viability Study for a Canadian Manufacturer of Integrated and Collaborative Health Information Technologies
This project involved a thorough analysis of six market regions of the world to assess the level of demand for our client's technology within key market segments in each region. Given the high level of informational detail required by the client, a significant portion of our research involved organizing and conducting expert interviews, by phone, with senior level medical professionals from around the world.
Key areas of the market viability study included identifying industry/market characteristics and segmentation for integrated and collaborative health IT's, identifying the market potential and specific areas of opportunity for the client's technologies, and determining the level of competitiveness of the technologies in each region.

Business Development for Interactive Video Marketing Technology for the US Market
This project involved designing and implementing a focused prospecting strategy and process for market expansion of our client's video marketing technology to the U.S. It included identifying the market verticals to pursue, crafting proper messaging and sales pitch for introductory letters and call scripts, creating and managing a database of prospects from the identified verticals, performing sales lead generation calls and follow-ups, and carefully tracking our performance to meet the client's business development targets.


Manufacturing
Market Viability Study for Electric Boilers for the Southern Ontario Market
This market study closely examined the Southern Ontario boiler industry climate and supply chain structure. A specific focus was placed on understanding the region's market and competitive climate for electric boilers, and identifying niche areas of market expansion opportunities for our client's products and services. Our research findings were then used to develop a series of high and low priority, short and long-term recommendations for the client's market expansion interest into the Southern Ontario market.

U.S. Target Market Profile for the British Virgin Islands
This study involved the identification and profile (demographic and psychographic) of the highest-potential British Virgin Islands (BVI) visitor market in the United States. Based on our research findings, we were able to provide the necessary guidelines for the development of an effective marketing communications plan aimed at promoting BVI to the defined target market as their travel destination of choice.
